Deployment Manager

The Deployment Manager at Upwing Energy is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and coordinating field operations related to the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of Subsurface Compressor Systems (SCS). This leadership position involves managing a team of wellsite supervisors and field service technicians, ensuring efficient project execution, and cultivating strategic partnerships with subcontractors or service companies while maintaining superior client satisfaction through exemplary service delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team comprising wellsite supervisors, field service technicians and office staff, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of international field operations for SCS, including installation, commissioning, and maintenance, adhering to global safety standards and operational protocols.
  • Apply extensive expertise in Electric Submersible Pump (ESP), various Artificial Lift techniques (e.g., Gas Lift, Rod Pump), Well Completions, Intervention, and Workover of wells to address technical challenges and ensure effective project management.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with subcontractors and service companies to ensure seamless integration of services for project execution.
  • Contribute to the sales cycle by providing technical expertise, solutions, and recommendations to clients, aiding in business development efforts alongside the sales team.
  • Efficiently manage field service schedules, resources, and budgets to meet project timelines, financial objectives, and quality assurance standards.
  • Foster and sustain strong client relationships, ensuring outstanding service delivery, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities for additional services or improvements.

Skills, Experience, Education, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering with a minimum of 3 years international experience in field service management or operations and 10 years within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record in managing diverse, international field service teams, and fostering a culture of safety, excellence, and collaboration.
  • Extensive technical expertise in ESP applications, various Artificial Lift methods (Gas Lift, Rod Pump, etc.), Well Completions, Intervention, and Workover of wells.
  • Demonstrated ability to form strategic partnerships with subcontractors or service companies, optimizing project execution and service integration.
  • Experience engaging in the sales cycle, providing technical support, and contributing to business development efforts.
  • Proficient in project management, resource allocation, and budget control.
  • Thorough understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • This role requires approximately 60-70% of time spent in the field, overseeing and supporting field service operations, managing teams, and ensuring project execution meets the required standards.
  • Frequent international travel to field sites and client locations is necessary to supervise operations, address technical challenges, and maintain client relationships.
  • Work in outdoor environments, potentially in challenging weather conditions, is common during field visits.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks as required in the field is essential to ensure proper oversight and support to field service teams.
