IT Support Engineer
The IT Support Engineer is responsible for delivering the complete lifecycle of IT services for the staff at Upwing Energy, from on boarding and set up, to upgrade, installation, troubleshooting, repair and replacement of hardware and software solutions, asset recovery and protection. This role will work with our Director of IT and Information Security to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our IT infrastructure, software, and telecommunications. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in IT services, hardware and software support, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd tier support to Upwing Energy employees.
- Install and configure computers, printers, conference room AV equipment, network equipment, and other technology devices.
- Deploy and troubleshoot various 3rd party software and create user guides or documentation as needed.
- Provide overall IT assistance, training, and guidance to employees while identifying ways that Upwing Energy can continuously improve IT services.
Skills, Experience, Education, and Abilities:
- 3+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role, preferably in a high tech fast-paced environment supporting hardware/software engineers, labs and manufacturing.
- Experience with Windows, Active Directory, Group Policy, M365, Teams, and other Microsoft technologies.
- Basic understanding of information security principles (SSL VPN, firewalls) and service delivery frameworks such as ITIL.
- Ability and desire to take on higher-level strategic projects and continued learning when daily tasks stall including network administration, systems administration, high-performance computing, information security, etc.
- A+, Network+, MCSE, or other technical certifications.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is a plus.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- This position will be based onsite at Upwing Energy’s headquarters in Cerritos, CA.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. for duties such as delivering computers, unpacking and rack-mounting equipment, etc.
- Ability to work extended hours and overtime as needed.
