The Field Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing projects in a safe manner. It requires travel to field locations, both domestically and internationally, to install, commission, troubleshoot and pull Subsurface Compressor Systems (SCSs). It requires a willingness to relocate internationally when necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead field operations during SCS installations, pulls, troubleshooting and commissioning
• Perform detailed job planning, risk assessment and safety requirements
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, communication and control system issues
• Oversee site safety, equipment preparation and execution of work plans
• Generate technical documentation: pre-job plans, post-job reports and field logs
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and operations teams
• Assist in procedure development, equipment trials and field tests
• Provide client interface, third party vendors and on-site decision making
• Mentor and support junior technicians or contractors 

Skills, Experience, Education, and Abilities:

• Engineering degree (mechanical/electrical/petroleum)
• 1-2 years of oil and gas experience is preferred
• Experience with mechanical and electrical work is a plus
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Location: Katy, Texas, USA
• Physical and mental activities. Domestic and international travel up to ~70% of time.
